| Life with Dakota! Dakota is all Belgian and all Tervuren and so much more. He came to live with us at about 12 weeks of age and stole my heart the minute we met. He decided that we were soul mates at that moment as well. He is my soul mate. He is so devoted, dedicated and loving that it's actually difficult to convey his essence in words, it's all in actions. Defender of the underdog, compassionate to the downtrodden, and yet he is always ready for a game of catch, fetch, tug or Frisbee. His desire to please is nearly overwhelming at times as he is so focused on learning every word in the human language! And genius, yes, genius. Just by watching us he has learned how to open gates and doors (doorknobs), turn on the outdoor water faucets, shake his head "no" when he means "no", and much, much more. The only reason he doesn't have any initials at the end of his name is because I wasn't able to let him pursue the venues. He has basic training in obedience, rally and agility, and loves it. Dakota is a very happy boy, regal, confident and sound. Dakota's structural qualities: he stands square at 25" full dentition with a scissors bite medium to dark almond eyes small but a bit wide set ears correct mahogany coat with nice black overlay full mask medium bone with solid muscle tone beautiful effortless gait and movement small perfect "cat-like" feet on front and slightly longer on back level topline with short loin and nice sloping croup shorter tail 45 degree shoulder lay with a little less than right angle to upper arm produced all testicles intact in all male offspring to date |
